Whittlesey and District Neighbourhood Watch

Creating safer, stronger and active communities

Daily Patrol

Reassurance patrols continue, and today we have been to March Chatteris, and Whittlesey. All is well, and even the weather has been nice. The charity F.A.C.T. was visited, and they were found to be exceptionally busy, which was not surprising. Despite this, the staff still found time to have a chat and discuss there work. They are certainly a credit to the community.

We then moved to Chatteris to show our face and check on local shops, and pharmacies.

Police control contacted us and asked us to visit a couple of addresses in the area where reports of large social gathering had allegedly taken place.  It is a strange thing to discuss, until recently people meeting people was not going to be a problem. To suggest it would be, would be the stuff of a comedy sketch. But here we all are ??

Both my crew partner and I are now back at the station updating todays work. The all important computer work. Hopefully, it will remain peaceful for the rest of the shift.

Until tomorrow, I wish you well.
